Well then use the integrated GPU… since you have a "K" Processor. You can add the necessary Framebuffer Patch to the DeviceProperties section of the OpenCore Config

    i7-5820K has no igpu  it's a workstation 2011-v3 socket X99 chipset Haswell-E cpu

worry not, I'm testing another hack with i7-4770, 32GB ram and igpu, which is supported by current Big Sur and works like a charm

I am very new, I think this may be my first post. Just a heads up on Macs with the M1 CPU. They will NOT run x86 instruction sets or Bandcamp. There is no workaround at this time. If you switch to an M1-based computer programs that are written to run on x86 will not run on an M1 machine as the CPUs have different instruction sets. Apple has no present plans to allow or provide a version of Bandcamp that will work with an M1 CPU. So...Don't get rid of your old computer for quite a while if you plan to run x86 software.

P.S. - I do not know if this goes for mini Macs etc. But for regular laptops, and definitely, the M1 Mac Pro coming down the line, things will be very different until hackers and crackers figure out a workaround if it is even possible, the M1 has a reduced set of instructions and is unable to carry out certain processes that an x86 processor can. This info comes from two places, a release by Apple and "The Stack Exchange" which rarely gets things wrong, at least not for more than a few hours. I would like to know if anyone finds this to be untrue. I can't think of a reason why Apple would say it if it were not true, I use a PC, so this is from what I read.

I tried to connect Mojave and Windows 10 with Audio Gridder, but I didn't get it to work.. I have activated the "sharing" on both computer, "windows file sharing" on OSX, a shared folder on Win 10, with permissions, I also tried to make a same user account on both.. Impossible to see the Win 10 Audio Gridder server.. I could see the Win 10 computer in the OSX finder, but not the Mac on Windows.

Could you tell me how have you managed the connexion please ?

Yeah, Good luck with Mojave. I'm using an M1 (as in Big Sur) with the latest Win10 Latest gen i7 Nuc as the server directly via ethernet.
    Ethernet port to Ethernet port.

Audio Gridder once installed as the server appears in Win 10 on Boot in the right-hand bottom hidden items on the taskbar (don't keep clicking the exe..its running.

The latest versions work seamlessly for me On the M1 Daw hosts under rosetta with 3ms delay for Bitwig, Studio one. Native Logic is Ok but way more delay for some reason??

Ask the Forum its found on github apohl79 as stated on the site.

mOS Mojave 10.14.x still supports x32 bit apps/plugins

you mean mOS Catalina 10.15, is x64 bit ONLY, no longer supports x32 bit anything

after Catalina OS X 10.15, is Big Sur, which is no longer OS X - it is OS 11 now

Okay I am super confused about the Mac releases on the sister site. I just broke my old ThinkPad, and haven't used a Macbook since 3 years. Got a Macbook Air M1 coming in tomorrow.

So I understand that you can run apps from the sister site on Rosetta without a lot of problems. Great. But how about the native apps? I see Logic is released by team TNT and is at version 10.6.1. The native version of Logic appears to be 10.6.0. But the TNT release on the sister site does not mention anything about it running natively. Same with a lot of other apps and plugins. Should be native according to the version number. But doesn't say exactly.

    Anyone can explain?

it's a hit and miss situation,

there are two types of apps:
    1) legacy Intel (running through Rosetta 2)
    2) universal apps (offering both new native M1 mode, or previous Intel mode)

crack functionality of universal app running in native M1 mode is not guaranteed

Most apps like Studio one, Live & Bitwig aren’t native yet but run extremely well under Rosetta.

For awhile, moving forward, there will be many apps that are Universal, which means they have both the Intel and ARM versions built in. It's likely that we won't see cracked ARM apps for awhile, but for apps that can be authorized with just a serial number or license file, we'll still be able to use those in native ARM mode. For the ones that need the binary patched, if only the Intel code is patched, we may have to force those to run in Intel mode. You can do that easily by getting Info on the app (CMD+I) and checking the box that says "Open Using Rosetta".
Regarding Logic specifically, I'm not sure, as I run legit purchased version of that.

I know all this, but how do I tell which app runs natively and what doesn't?
Yeah but I kind of don't want to run anything in Rosetta at all. So I am trying to find out what is native and what isn't.

Okay that puts things a little into perspective. Yet it boggles my mind that whoever is relasing plugins in the sistersite doesn't bother informing about the arcitecture. I assume I can download the plugins and try them natively, and just uninstall if it doesn't work.

I'm not sure what your objection is to running things under Rosetta2, but I assure you that it works beautifully the vast majority of the time. As I said, it's pretty simple to tell, even without downloading. If it needs a patch (or has been pre-patched), it's going to be Intel for awhile. If it uses a serial number or license file it should work Universally. However, very few 3rd party apps and plugs are available in ARM format at the moment, cracked or not.

Well it's not like I hate it or anything. I haven't tried it yet. I just read that running a native daw like Logic or Reaper and then load plugins that's translated causes a lot of troubles that you can't get around without running the daw itself through rosetta as well. I don't know... just seems silly not to use the power of Apple Silicon in all it's glory.

The guy that started that rumor ended up having no end to his problems, and AFAIK, ended up switching back to running Logic natively. While it will be lovely to be running everything natively (speed wise), it's a pipe dream right now-- there's just very little ARM software.

It’s been reported by a lot of people? In any case, I’ll give it a shot with native daw and translated plugins. If it works it works. If it doesn’t, well, I’ll either buy the software or arm myself with patience i guess. Will be sure to share my experience though, but in another thread as I am possibly a little off topic here.
    Thanks for your input.
