Just wondering out of curiosity more than anything, but is anyone actually making music on Logic Pro for iPad, and in particular techno or house styles of music?

 

Just this morning I was exploring option of adding iPad to my setup, really not familiar with them and still can't wrap my head around which one would be good option, but idea is to use it via Sidecar option as secondary tablet display for Bitwig, guess I don't need to spend fortune there, just supported cheapest one, from what I gathered so far, that would be v7 and up.

I really dig how iPad 10 looks like actual screen from my Air, dunno, still researching, so yeah, keep the info coming guys, great thread in just the perfect time.

I think many overestimated the practical real usefulness of a Daw on the Ipad.

There is a reason why the previous "Daws" are very simple. As soon as you start getting many features, windows and settings you realize you want to have mouse and keyboard. And then the benefits of a proper computer ergonomically and feature-wise in general are overwhelming. (Not to even talk about the subscription madness..)

I use the Ipad for simple sketches and as sound source and tuner and for practice of scales, to study and practice theory being able to sit on the sofa and chill and move around and bring it over anywhere with a keyboard.

But for actual music making? Nothing beats sitting in from of my desk with monitors, speakers, confy chair etc everything set and ready to make whatever i need.

So answer is tested it, and no I realized its was not practical. For me.
