Is a late 2013 trash can Mac Pro still of use?

Who said I couldn't figure out what to do with it?! :rofl:I had a 14 day returns window, and the cost was extortionate compared to the Windows laptop I then opted for. It was about cost and value for money at the time rather than anything to do with usage.

oh I see, then I'd rather keep an eye on used market for Apple Silicon Mac Mini,
because of pace of Apple ecosystem is rather fast, especially with Logic, you always want latest MacOS (or no more than 1 major version behind) and for new features Apple Silicon architecture is mandatory

This is what I'd look first. The CPU itself is more than fast enough for many uses. But modern OSes/software sometimes require AVX2. Just as some require DirectX 11 or whatever version, on Macs Metal.

So check the Mac OSes/software you'd want to use requirements first and then decide. Although from what I know using and old Mac OS is going to bust your balls pretty badly.

PS. You could even have a dual Mac OS/Windows machine with bootcamp. But in your case doesn't make much sense since you have a very powerful PC.

I did. Am I randomly typing in Swahili again or something? :)

And an old Intel Mac will be even worse. You will not have a clue what you're doing, and no-one to help.
