@Mostwest: Presence XT can only read unprotected Kontakt-Instruments without Scripting, so no official Libraries I guess. You should be able to use Instruments you created yourself though.

LOL, yeah, pretty much. The Quote is from their website --> http://studioone.presonus.com/whats-new and it says "unprotected Kontakt".

It just read somewhere else that it's possible to load some older Kontakt-Libraries in there, up to Kontakt 4, but I don't know if that's true or not.

 

new option for midi clips "Render Instrument Tracks", did it and bouncing dialog pop up, and then nothing. Someone knows what this option really does??

I haven't used it yet so it's hard to say definitively but from what I've seen from random screenshots it looks to be a step in the right direction. It appears to have more personality than it did before. Let's put it that way.

 

Its basically flatter and darker.. Id like to have seen more use of color in the UI and instruments. All seems a bit grey and bland.

Wonder how long its going to be before its.... avail.... able.

 

That's a shame. I'm no programmer but I believe it should be a standard feature in all DAW's (afaik Sonar,Cubase,Samplitude,Bitwing, FL Studio and REAPER all have this feature). REAPER's one is spot on and stable and I never had any problems. Half my plugins don't work with jBridge(esp. the one's I use often) so its pretty useless. I am surprised no one asked for this feature or if they did it wasn't implemented.Oh well, I hope they do in the next update or something, till then REAPER will do.

I'm not too concerned about plug-ins or instruments(have plenty of those)but it seems like they've added some cool new features to help increase workflow.I like the option where you can label the part of the song.That's something i wish P.T. had.

I'm missing an important features "Play Overlapping Events" is not there anymore. Anyone knows where the option is now?? Or they just remove it??

Find it, it's in the Inspector but you need to active it track by track

 

I'm not sure to be authorized to reveal here the exact binaries which must be modified, but you can always use something like Compare It! 4.2 and compare binaries from legit and modified "Studio One.exe" v2.6.5 (take the modified exe from "PreSonus Studio One Pro 2.6.5.30360 x86 x64 WIN-TVB") then modify the v3.0 exe accordingly.

Works for x86, x64 and OSX.

 

6. Play overlapping audio is not gone....it is just moved
Those of you who have used the Play Overlapping Audio function will notice that it is no longer in the preferences menu. That's because it is no longer a global setting. It is a track-by-track feature which adds tons more flexibility.

 

Don't know if was already mentioned but you can assign multiple parameter to one macro like this, wich is a really big step
