Cable companies want to slow down (and break!) your favorite sites, for profit.

Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and Time Warner are spending more than $1 million per week lobbying to make sure that the FCC protects their interests.

If their plan goes on, some who will pay for it will have priority over the other on internet. Again it's money fucking with democracy.



To fight back, let's cover the web with symbolic "loading" icons, to remind everyone what an Internet without net neutrality would look like, and drive record numbers of emails and calls to lawmakers.

On September 10th, sites across the web will display an alert with a symbolic "loading" symbol (the proverbial “spinning wheel of death”) and promote a call to action for users to push comments to the FCC, Congress, and the White House. Note: none of these tools actually slow your site down; they tell your visitors about the issue and ask them to contact lawmakers.

Ummmm,hmmm??? You got a way to fight back that doesn't require an email address and possible ip address and mac address leakage? That seems way questionable to me that I have to sign up and give an email to fight back.

They start doin weird stuff with my net we have a problem.I pay for my net and will cancel it right now if something is funny.If I need it that bad there's a few around me I could get wifi from if need be,I have a repeater.But they are gonna start making us feel like they are invading our net again.And We'll go back to proxies/vpn's etc and never signing into any social media whatsoever.Not that I have anything to hide personally,because truly I don't.I just don't trust people,I question their motives and it seems they always try to hurt people or try to screw them over somehow. But truly I do care about people in general very deeply and I just want the people to unify even on just one thing would be beautiful progress. Ultimately I'd like people to treat each other right and fight for one another for the sake of fair treatment of all people for the sake of our children's future,for the sake of humanity and all human kind.But I don't see that happening because people don't care as much as I'd like to hope they did.They're more concerned about their pockets and profit than our well being or truly fixing anything worthwhile for the people.

Don't get me wrong I'm not unpatriotic,not at all,I love this country and I love them too and really hope the best for them as well it just seems like they are trying to screw us a lil more.And I have the utmost respect and adoration for our retired soldiers.Those guys and gals have a rough deal too,they often struggle when they get older,and get sub par health care sometimes.I just wish they'd(our world leaders) have different intentions and motives.It's upsetting sometimes and a lot recently.
But enough about that,yeah back to subject at hand.I'll turn my back on a lot of these services they have online if they aren't trustworthy at least to a certain degree.

truth is american speeds are really slow, and you all get charged a fortune.

I'm english and with the company i'm with we pay £23 a month for over 100MB

last time i did a speed test it was at 108mbs.

sickening... they just want us to SHUT UP and fork over the money..and enjoy it while we dwindle down to a 3rd world hell hole...

guess they'll be thrilled when they finally see chinese sweat shops installed here.. and we sit in them 12 hrs a day so we can eat some ramen noodles and get 1 mbs

I get 50 mbs down but only 2 mbs up which really sux...AND it costs me nearly $75 per month.
I'll post the .gif on my facebook page...if nothing else it'll bring awareness to what net neutrality really means cuz you know the f@cking media ain't going to tell the truth about it.
