:dont: All this "big brother is watching you" stuff is a scare tactic propaganda! Not only it would cost billions, but it would also be literally impossible to crack down on the millions of people from around the world (I mean millions!) downloading pirated stuff (i.e. Microsoft soft., graphics, audio, video, games, films, records, porno etc). If they really wanted to, it certainly would have happened a long time ago. Once in a while, they might catch one or two guys to scare the hell out of the public (mostly college students because it's easy to monitor campus activity). Presently, their goal is to shut down as many downloading sites as possible, but their problem is that new ones keep coming out everyday (the same guys that owned the old sites keep opening new ones). So their ultimate goal is to pass draconian laws that will allow them to control "server" activity. If you can control the servers then you can control the internet traffic worldwide and stop pirate activity. Hope it won't happen for a long time. Have fun in the meantime. Don't worry be happy! :bleh:

The guy (Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols) that wrote "Internet BitTorrent Spies" is out of touch with reality (plain exaggeration). This comment is from one of the viewers that read "Internet BitTorrent Spies," it makes sense:

    Garbage in / Garbage Out
Let's see... according to YouHaveDownloaded, someone here downloaded "Healing Meditation Accelerate Healing and Recovery (Brain Wave Therapy)-Mantesh" sometime in November. The only problem is, they're absolutely wrong. Our office has both hardware and software firewalls which block BitTorrent traffic, and the desktops are locked down. The users couldn't install a BitTorrent client if they wanted too, and the network is small enough that I can easily scan for the supposed pirated file, and there is no sign of it on any system. I don't know how they're collecting their data, but it's pretty useless if they're just posting garbage. If it's from Russia, I'm more inclined to think that it's a fishing site and the media is blindly helping them out. Tank252ca ------------

According to TorrrentFreak, this is a a new Russian-based site. Nothing to worry about. All it does is tracking the IP of the torrent user at the time of torrenting and then provides bogus information. Stay away from "YouHaveDownloaded.com" It's a scam!

who uses torrents anymore at all?
i havent downloaded a torrent in at least 3 years.
it even takes up to 6 months for private trackers to get releases, scene or not, that hit blog sites with filehosting links.
    torrents are effectively dead.... thankfully.

now if only the idiot children would stop posting the same links on every single blog/forum on the net,
    and upload their own links,
    things would be even better.

YouHaveDownloaded is over 5 years old and should not be taken seriously.

@Crumpy.. you need to find better sites. Most of the "scene" stuff posted on AudioZ comes from a torrent site first unless of course the poster has direct axx to a top dump site and I know for a fact that is not the case 99% of the time
