Yes, sadly that's true, but they have managed to release a few really good albums. Please check the song below, the ending is amazing in my opinion. It brings to my imagination hellish paintings of Bosch or Beksiński.

PS. The song has a little of the text at the beginning, but it's mostly instrumental, so I hope it will slip by in this thread.

"...As I was writing this song one Sunday, I imagined myself floating into space and looking down at my own body. I was imagining myself dying. Morbidly obsessed with these thoughts, I wrote this song about death. The next day I was told that Guy (Burchett), our 17 year-old messenger boy, had been tragically killed on his motorcycle the day before. Guy died on the day I wrote this song."

  7. As good as sex and better than your first time eating chocolate, this piece is recorded using only the ambience of the church that it was recorded in and the placement of the mics. One of my favorite all time instrumentals.

thank you so much for sharing this :beg:

i cannot believe how good this is!
    just with mic placement....
chocolate or sex do not even remotely come close to this!!
perfect in every way, and it gets better every second, what a ride, pure porn

now i know how my absolute favorite Instrument sounds, if it's played by god himself.
nuff said, words cannot describe this
just thinking about it gives me goosebumps

i have to calm down now, need a walk, this changed my life

btw did the theremin lady remember you of this one ? cuz in this vid she plays the "air theremin" :hillbilly:

  13. Right? This is an amazing performance by the both of them, just absolutely mind boggling wonderful. A member of another forum that I belong two recorded one of his performances and said that he was a really nice guy too! I have listened to this so many times and it never ever gets stale to my ears. It is a gift that I am so very grateful for.

    Glad you enjoy it also!

Some Celtic for you, @Herr Durr. "Sláinte mhaith!"

Now gently put the Leprechaun back where you found it. You don't know where it's been.

I don't know what kind of sex you guys are having (put some love into it), but comparing it to music is just wrong.
Also, you obviously haven't tried Austrian or Swiss chocolate. (and a whole bunch of other food...) :bleh:

That said, superliquidsunshine thanks bro for that video. That's perfect music! The church ambience makes it all the more meaningful, and emotional. I quite like how the guy and the gal both show quite masculine and feminine attributes, respectively, during the performance. (Is it now sounding like sex? Lol.)

The music itself is different due to its ancient inspired harmonies. And quite welcome. Was just reading about the history of Constantinople today, which put me in a totally different mood and headspace, so this was a perfect piece to finish off my day. Cheers!

    Lol @ saltwater's reaction!
    So cute.

Don't know if the beeb allowed Fiona Ritchie's "Thistle and Shamrock" over there on the radio...
but I spent many a Saturday night listening to Celtic drones and musical tales of yore..
I hear American Bluegrass "hillbilly" music.. and can only think of this as it's granddaddy
