I'm looking for some good libraries that have phrases of instruments or vocals. It can be any instrument or vocal style. After checking out SPIRITOSO Live Cello Phrases from Zero-G I got interested in checking out some others, but by no means am I limiting my search to only cellos. It seems RA is also a good one as well as the Ethno World Series. The more thorough the better, wouldn't mind compiling a total list of all such libraries in this thread. Cheers

 

Have you looked Ueberschall Liquid series? Many instruments and you have much control over the phrases. I dont use loops or phrases, but if i must pick i would go with this one because of control to make more personal.

 

Yeah me too, I usually like to chop them up or rearrange just bits from a few phrases into one then add a ton of fx to them. If the melody is particularly good, I'd also extract the midi ( which is easier to do with melodyne since its a single instrument) and then play the melody with other synths or vocal patches.

Yes, I've played with the liquid series quite a bit, it's almost always necessary to mess with them a lot though in those libraries.

 

If you think well the phrases libs are everywhere because major daws work like like instruments or you can use melodyne to change things.
More interesting and rare are kontakt libs that you can select each syllable.
