Hi,
Bought myself a few preset packs for Massive & FM8 but needed some pointers on how to install them, can I just copy them to the 'Sound' folder or do I need to import them? Sorry, but the search didn't provide me with any clear answers.

 

You can copy the folders here:
C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Native Instruments\Massive
C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Native Instruments\FM8\Sounds

FM8
Click on Rebuild DB followed by Ok to rescan the FM8 database and close the Options.

 

just copy them to where the massive folder is, usually my documents and paste in the sounds if banks or presets for presets

you can show them your custom folder/path
sometimes you have to convet them i.e import them (massive(1) had a format change(ksd to ms... something)

Yeah, you've got the paths on the replies above, however on the off-chance check that Massive is indeed looking for those directories.

Go to File > Options... > Browser and check what Massive is actually scanning for. If that doesn't look good then you can add any additional directories or copy them to the paths scanned.
