Setting up a little home studio again after a few years. While I do enjoy many modern apps and environments, I am trying to set up some older boxes (circa 2010) with old stuff that I like. MacOS 9, 32-bit Windows plugs, etc. And that involves some Native Instruments. Timely, with them recently dropping support for their old plugs and finally killing of Absynth!

I have had Komplete 3 for years. Good news is that running the installer serializes their second-tier plugs automatically! So FM7, Intakt, Spektral Delay, and Vokator seem to "just work" so far.

My obstacle with getting the rest of it to install is that I have the H2O kg, but never needed to use it before. For offline authorization, Service Center (v1.0.0.0!) writes an .html file. The H2O kg browses to the file but no matter what system I try, the kg gives me an error of "Invalid system ID". I tried installing on a Mac mini G4, a 64-bit Windows 7 tower, and a 32-bit Windows 7 laptop. So I am surprised that none of them looked like valid systems. I tried running the kg in compatibility mode, but same difference.

So that's my real question here, to kick things off. Has anybody successfully used H2O's Komplete 3 kg before? Any tricks to getting it to work?

Ultimately I plan to have mostly this old stuff running, except the latest Reaktor 5 and hopefully several different versions of Kontakt. I don't know if having Kontakt 1, 2, 3, and 5 will play well together. I'm using v1 mostly for its ability to import sample CDs. And other versions to hopefully play with various libraries.I have kind of a love/hate relationship with Kontakt because libraries tend to be so version-specific, and it's a PITA to create one's own libraries - and have them work on other versions. I'll probably unnks some of those ancient Intakt/Kompakt libraries and try to make real Kontakt libraries out of them.

And since I am new, just to be clear I already have the software. This isn't a thirst thread. More just interested in tricks and tips to get old plugs working and playing nice together. Thanks!
