Installing Altiverb 7 XL on mac makes screen go black on boot

    I have it running on Windows 10. The only problem is that I can't load any other IRs.

    That's sounds way more convoluted to me.

    I have aswell and audiogridder is way better imo.

    Not to sound like a fan boy but audiogridder between 2 or more machines (not Virtualization on one machine) is super easy and fast.
    I actually went out and bought a cheap used PC (25 year mac user here) just for this purpose. And I don't regret it at all. (Apple has really become "Sir Nose" these days if you know what I mean)

    This may not be for you but maybe the OP finds interest in this:bow:

    Audiogridder really is as simple as pluging in your ethernet - load up the server app and go! Latency(buffer) is adjustable.
    It's just like "pin the tail on the funky":winker:

    Yes, I have heard very good reports. And Lenny Belardo/SL is using it having got pissed off with the VSL thing. So it must be alright.
    And lots of peeps was happs at AZ!
    Aww, I'm glad to hear it. Means you will get longer out of the hardware too!
    Just invest in f loads of external storage niceness, preferably SSD! :mad:
    I admit, I'm probably going to create a hackintosh next, as I want to stay with Logic.

    Has anyone found a fix for that OpenGL thing that is causing this issue? I am on Mojave 10.14.6 and it worked perfectly with Live 10 and Cubase 10, but started having this bug with Live 11 and Cubase 10.5. Maybe some third party supportive application that enables OpenGL on newer programs?
    If it was just anything else than Altiverb I'd buy the plugin, but I am really not using Altiverb that much for being able to pay it's full price.

    Also as someone stated that the wrong dylib might cause the issue, I am using the 10.10.2 version provided with the H00K release and it has been working for all other plugins and even with Altiverb in older DAWs, so I couldn't imagine that being the reason, right?

    It works "kinda" on Big Sur as an Audio Unit hosted in BLuecat's Patchwork within Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton & Logic on my end... The GUI sometimes glitches though. Only fix I can recommend would be to update your OS. But I wouldn't follow my advice unless you are ready to update & deal with current OS headaches.
