Many times I just lost when programming music with midi. Making a virtual guitar sounds like human-played guitar, for example, is not an easy task. This video always helps me to recover my passion and keeps me.. trying.

Here's a compilation of "The Shape Of Things That Hum". I ripped this series from VHS tapes about 15 years ago & uploaded it back in the days of google video (before Youtube). It disappeared when they shut down google video, but other people have uploaded it to Youtube.

I also like this one. It's about Moby's studio. I like this guy.
He made his first album with an Akai S3200, which is one of my favourite horses in the stable. You can still see it in his studio, too.

 

Then there's Adrian Utley's studio. Portishead's electronic mastermind. We share a similar hair style.

 

Many wise words have been said by both Trent and Alessandro in this video. I love it.

I dig Trent's new haircut. However, I'd have to seed some new hair to have it.

Buchla modular?!?! Daaamn. I don't want to know the price of this crap. Everything can be done with anything, you just have to be inspired and creative. Never, *never* think your hardware is the culprit. Although I feel the same as Trent Reznor about things. Doing things with a mouse is not inspirational. However, there's saw, square, sinewave [!] and triangle waveforms. That's it. I actually find real sounds more inspirational, therefore I'm a sampler head.

There's part two, btw. If you haven't cum already.
