I've stopped posting my thoughts and opinions online, unless I just drop them like turds in the middle of the road and then keep walking and don't look back. I get e-mails from people "commenting" on what I say via Disqus and YouTube, and I delete them without reading them. I have had reasons to suspect a few incidents of such harrassment to have been from people of my acquaintance, according to some things said or referred-to by them - people supposedly "friends," even, but I've learned not to need friends, because they'll turn on you. Even amicable discussions turn ugly, with people criticizing me or talking down to me, if not just veering so far away from relevance that I wonder if we're having the same conversation. And no, I won't follow-up on this that I've written here. I just wanted to remind you that the Internet is the new Jungle, out of the mentality for which we humans still haven't evolved.
