Howdo all?

Here's the first demo of the new track I'm working on, I'm hoping to get it to sound like those old 78rpm records from the 1930's & 40's eventually

sounds like a modern recording with the "noise" on top. like your other songs the good production shines thru it.

how bout running a couple individual tracks thru that speaker simulator plug, i forget the name but you can run it thru a virtual telephone, intercom, loudspeaker, ect(i.e. guitar, drums). also how bout recording to a cheapo tape recorder (vocals, bass) to a well worn tape, then put that into yer daw. this way you start out with kinda "crappy" tracks. also, in the old recordings the crackly phonographic ambience isn't as "static" or even, kinda pitches and yaws if you will.

the song lends itself to the idea you've got though, so thats good. sounds like something from an old movie or something. by no means do i mean to critize in a "bad" way, so please don't tske it that way. also, absolutly love your youtube "kearnsy telephones her royal majasties collection service" or whatever you guys call it, that was priceless.

love to hear what you come up with if you do more or re-do this one, and thanks for the "real" music.

I'd love to know how to re-create the 20's & 30's 78 rpm sound and you've hit on some tips there dude, thanks, I'll give them a whirl

heh heh yeah, just sick of the hmrc on my back all the time over unpaid fines for late tax returns and all that crap
