    Because I really couldn't find a modern standalone sampler/sequencer that had 6 outputs at the price I scored it for.

    I haven't bought any outboard gear this year, but I did a studio makeover, and it's by far been the best thing I've done for the studio. I've added a control room to the one-room studio I had, and I'm really enjoying the sound of the rooms.
    As for instruments, I built a new pedalboard for my bass gear and added a new wireless system. However, the most significant change for gigging was a Bose S1 Pro. That little beast is now used as a bass amp for rehearsals and small clubs. It's also my portable PA for my duo show, and my personal stage monitor for small gigs.
