    Hey guys,

I wonder if any of you have been struggling with all those impossible captchas out there...They're driving me nuts! :wow:

Sometimes it takes me a dozen tries before I get it right!

Who the hell designed those things? It's insane!

    Aaaarrrhgggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

For every advance there are a bunch of shitbags that try to exploit them for one nefarious purpose or other. Thank all the idiots that abuse these services and so they have to create harder CAPTCHA's. From what I know Google's ReCaptcha claims great results. They can be maddening at times, I completely agree.

Google didn't design that thing to make it harder to download free stuff. It was designed to differentiate between humans and bots.

I'm 100% sure they could do much better...There's also that one with the pictures, you know, asking you to select similar images. It's pretty nice and easy, and I don't think a bot could guess it.

The other one with the scrambled letters is completely insane! Someone should start a petition or something to stop it.

One thing that i find that makes captchas easier is to zoom in on the text that you have to copy.

On firefox its ctrl + "+" to zoom in and ctrl + "0" to go back to the original size.

Thats the "+" and "0" on the numpad.

Captchas are also cognitive- and literacy tests. Maybe therein lies the problem to solve them.

If it's bad eyesight - resize it.

I've stumbled into "more cowbell" ones 2 or 3 times.

There are also those fucked up ones where you're 99.9% sure that you've entered it correctly and it still says it's invalid. :snuffy:

And then there are the cool ones that only need you to input a few letters correctly. (So, you can type without paying too much attention) :mates:

And you also have some sites that don't even use captchas.

The trick perhaps resides on the following:
if you manage to pass the captcha chances are that you are fine with the optometrist and perhaps with the dentist.

That’s a lot in terms of sympathetic magic, meaning that the majority of marketing campaigns are based on this simple principle and the dentist is very expensive!

The thing that shits me so bad is that all these 'developers' and 'standards idealists' these fkn days harp so much about 'usability' and 'accessibility' and making things easier for the impaired...

FKN CUNTS FIX CAPTCHA AND VALIDATION/SECURITY FIRST THEN TALK MORONS!
