Importing WAV files into Pro Tools

    I'm currently using Pro Tools 12 and a noob.

    When I try to import stereo WAV files into my Pro Tools session, it divides them into two separate mono files... and I'd have to grab them into a newly created stereo track every time.

    Is there a way around this?

    If you drag them from your file explorer to the Edit Window, the new track will be stereo linked. However, the audio per se will be imported as "added", not "copied." You´d have to update your audio files folder later.

    When You create a PT-session You can choose to use split or interleave files in the New-Session-Box.

    I did see that in the tutorial of Pro Tools 12, but it doesn't seem to do anything... I've tried both ticking and un-ticking the "interleaved" box.
    I was beginning to think it was for exports. Is it supposed to work?
