I don't claim to be a wah specialist or anything, I tend to use my Crybaby when going to the amp, but if I'm doing all amp sim type of things then I usually go for the ones in Guitar Rig as they're close enough and got fair amount of tuning range especially when tweaking the controller pedal response.

But if it's all space FX like wah then a simple bandpass is usually my pick. Something like sweep from 300-1700 Hz, slight volume boost when pedal down, adjust resonance to taste. That way I can change the sound from mellow to aggressive.

I've tried all software wah pedals, and in plain English...they all suck. Buy yourself a used wah of your choice and live forever in frequency shifting bliss.

Sure, but in that case no need to call it wah, it's just a bandpass filter (which a wah is) :)

The only VST that came close to the vicinity of the ballpark is Kuassa for me. Even better than some real pedals (the Morley wah sucked as much as the Swiss postal service)

No, it is the French Postal Service that sucks the most, but I digress...I bought the Kuassa and don't use it because to me "they all suck", but not as much as La Poste .

Well, all I have to do now is buy a Crybaby and go play with my crappy guitar amp at the post office.
The French post office has gone mad. It used to be a national treasure. Like trains. Destroyed by sharks.
It's a good idea to sing with a wah and a crappy guitar amp at the post office.

i am a sucker (well i would argue not but thats what makes it true) for tim petherick nebula libraries, so yeah i got it just to add to my collection. i dont own an electric guitar and like shinyzen would just be using it as a sound design effect. so i can't really speak to how good it is compared to other wah pedal vst or just other wah pedals in general. sorry. i will say petherick makes top notch stuff, it sounds cool to me! people on gearspace seem to like it but they would, nebula is a bit of a cult.

whats happened to the french post office as of late that makes them reviled? i am a postal worker in the states, im sure we all kinda suck at the end of the day. what a job, i just walk around and put junk ads into peoples homes like a human popup ad. at least i give them packages and rarely hand written letters. and its brain dead easy ha.

I for one last week mailed a piece of gear to a friend that so far hasn't arrived, and now at this late date don't expect it to.

I personally like the Nembrini wah, but I still own and use my original 60's Jen Electronics Cry Baby, I regret ever selling my 60's Schaller Bow Wow it had a second Yoy Yoy sound which was so unique, I also bought a a behringer Hellbabe 01, which I find very disappointing.
There are just so many VST Wah pedals you are sure to find one you will like. Otherwise you may just end up buying another Cry baby.
