excuse me if i'm in the wrong category.

I have a question: For a good reason, normally i have 2 partitions on my machine, one with legit audio software, one with all those fine "test versions" groups like R2R offer.

Now i came to the point where i would like to use my legal version of AKAI VIP on that second partition, but there is no keyed/cracked version around so i would have to install the iLok license manager to get it activated.

My question now: is it safe to use iLok license manager alongside cracked audio plugins? Does anybody have that combination running without issues? My concern is that it might check my installations and report copyright infrightments or make all the good plugs stop working.

Did you end up doing it? What were the results? Thinking about getting autotune pro but dont want to lose my cracked version of autotune 7

 

yes i did it. no issues for years, not from that scenario anyway. if anything, make sure you're ilok manager isn't the latest version. i'm still on iLok License Manager version 2.4.3.756 (r27115). i never allow it to upgrade. it can't hurt to try, like Von_Steyr said.
