@jedsas I just saw your message, did you figure it out ? If not, I happened to have the same error message before with new legacy IK models. I then just updated ToneX and the message was gone, I can now use them all. So, if your version comes from sister site, I advice you to update ToneX !

@Janice Smith Why would you want to do that if it's the same exact model (genuine question) ? I don't think it's possible, since the name of the model is only one among many parameters of a model. There will be a conflict because other parameters would be identical and I think only 1 will show up in ToneX anyway

Hi, I want to do it because I uploaded some tone models to tone.net and there are a few of my own tone models that I would like to sell on my own. The primary key of the table that has the tone models is the Guid, which I can generate a new unique guid on my own so I want have a key violation in the database. I uploaded a bunch of f great tone models to tone.net before I realized that other people are selling tone models so now I regret ever uploading them to tone.net. there are a few other tables in the library.db that you also have to populate as well which I was able to successfully. So when I tried duplicating one of the tone models that I created in the library.db, and then launched tonex, the duplicate/copy of the model shows up in Tonex, but I get an error message when I try to click on the tone model and use it. The error message in Tonex says something like "you are trying to load a tone model that is not part of a collection." This is confusing because my tone models are my own that I created, and are not a copy of one of the new partner tone collections, so I don't understand why I am getting this error message. Any ideas?

What's your uploader name ? If you have high-gain captures I'll be glad to test them out !
Third-party tone models (not on tone.net) are actually Presets (.txp files), not Tone Models in Tonex interface. That's a first reason why you get this error message. Tone Models tab search ONLY for tone.net profiles.
I never did a profile myself before (I have no gear at all lmao), but I guess once you're completely done with the process, if you upload it on tone.net, you can never go back and keep it local only. I'm talking out of my back stinky hole though, do correct me if I'm wrong.
To me, next step after profiling (and not sending to tone.net) is to create a Preset, export it in a .txp file, and you're good to go ! I've no idea how it works in the database though

Thanks for the info. But I thought if you buy a third party preset and import iy into tonex, it will add the preset to the Preset tab in Tonex and also simultaneously add the tone model included in the preset to the tone model tab. Is that not the case?

From what I know it's not, looks like only tone.net and self-made captures are listed in Tone Models tab. Again, no idea how it works database-wise

Is it possible to simply view and export presets from downloaded databases?

Yes, since I wrote this ToneXdb Explorer added a Presets tab. Just right click -> Export and you're good to go !

EDIT : Repeating the process described in the main ToneX discussion topic :

I'm also replying here. You can follow these steps :
    - Rename you main database temporarily (like "main.db" for example)
    - Then rename the db you wanna work on "Library.db"
    - Then open ToneXdb Explorer (opens the file named Library.db automatically, without touching any other db in the folder)
    - Do your exports
    - Rename back your main db to "Library.db"
    - Open ToneX and import your exported presets :)

I'm adding this procedure to the tutorial, other people might be interested

    Tutorial updated regarding :
    - ToneXdbExplorer when adding new profiles to your database (I didn't update that part when they added the presets browser)
    - SQLiteStudio when adding new profiles to your database (got rid of that spreadsheet part BS, you can open multiple DBs at once, so it's a simple matter or CTRL+C/+V. So a good rewrite of all this part)

I know DBs are not updated anymore on the main topic, but I have a strong feeling they'll come back soon on sister site. Keep checking and keep your hopes up folks

EDIT : More edits with a rested head, some mistakes corrected, precisions given, simplifications made. Hopefully the last edit...

BIG UPDATE : After months of tutorial tweaking, I made a video tutorial on how to deal with this. I had to make it legit-compliant, but every step described here is included. If you're not a legit user, and grabbed the full databases someone released on sister site, you should be able to follow this tutorial without any particular problem :)

And a (triple... but last) post for another shorter and straight to the point tutorial more adapted to transfers from complete databases. The best for sister site DBs

Haven't seen a FULL/incremental ToneNET library .db dump here in a LONG time, or anywhere else on the internet for that matter.

    Anyone have sauce for this?
