Hopefully, once more people start sharing their 20 user profiles we can merge them together which should keep us going until someone who has bought TONEX decides to share the best of their downloaded user profiles.

Actually, I don't understand the difference between presets share and database share. So what is the benefit ? [EDIT] database permits to "download" 400 presets for eg. in one clic ? That's it ?

Sharing the Library.db file is easier for someone who has downloaded a ton of user profile than exporting each profile individually. Then all we need to do is back up our Library.db files as well as our downloaded user profiles just in case. And then import the guys Library.db file and we then have all of his downloaded user profiles.

I don't get it. If you have downloaded over 400 user profiles then why don't you just share your Library.db file?

Some interesting info I got on another forum is that the library.db is actually an SQLite file. You can open and edit this file in SQLite browser. It's possible that all you need do is export the lines from someone who has a large library of downloaded models and add those lines to your own library.db This may even work without a keygen. I'm yet to test this. What makes it easier is that it appears that all of the user models are at the bottom of the db after all of the IK ones.

Nothing that you have said makes me believe that you have a Library.db file with 400 plus user profiles because if you did then you would not need people to send you their created accounts. So I'm going to say a big NO! and I will wait for someone to share without any preconditions.

I agree with Davman, we are just finding a free and easy solution to share presets/profiles like 3 of us did.

Ok so my suspicions were correct. The models are stored in the library.db file itself, and probably similarly described in the preset files. Essentially the models are a set of weights (this will make sense to Machine Learning people) that have been stored as an encrypted text string that ToneX can understand.

I tested using SQLiteBrowser to import a CSV with downloaded model entries from one library.db to another library.db and without connecting online to the ToneNet server the models showed up and worked as intended. Bear in mind I have a paid TonexSE liscence so whether you can import these models on a vanilla CS liscence and have them all work I do not know.

Anyway if any of y'all want to test, this method saves having to be constantly swapping out library.db files as all you need do is import a CSV and it will simply add models to your existing library.db. You will have to set Conflict Strategy to ignore row in order to avoid adding duplicates and having the import process fail.

Most of you that are savvy enough to use the sister site will likely be able to figure all this out for yourselves knowing all you need is SQLiteBrowser. I may come back with a more detailed tutorial later if other people can test and validate this method.

Here is an example CSV https://github.com/brknwzrd/ToneXLib/blob/main/ToneModels.csv

I may upload another one at some point but there are a lot of models, this is only a few days worth.

The simple thing is to just share your Library.db file which contain your downloaded user profiles. I'm not trying to be funny, but most of us are not coders and we just want the user profiled amps and stomp boxes in the most simple way that we can get them. I have imported all of the shared amps in this thread and the keygen that unlocks all of the premium amps seems to allow the import of all of these user profiled amps without any issues.

If two people shared their Library.db files full of downloaded user amps then I would look into what you suggest, but I'm more likely to export all of the individual amps and share them as I would export them anyhow. So that I would have them individually as backups.

The CSV way really is the best. It's easy to filter the entries for instance so you're not needlessly importing all the crap that's in there should it be your preference, let's say you don't want all the Fractal captures. There's no coding involved here. I downloaded SQLite for the first time yesterday having never seen it before and figured out what was going on within 2 minutes. It's just like using Excel. It'll be much easier to keep your library up to date this way, you won't have to faff around exporting individual models each time so you can keep them in preset files, you literally just update a single file each time.

Ok, here is every Tone Model uploaded to date (>1400). I highly reccomend filtering them before uploading them to your library, there's a lot of crap in there. Though ToneX doesn't seem to have a problem with handling such a large number of models.

I will try to update the repo with more models every now and then but it's very tedious. Someone much smarter than I could hopefully come up with a way to scrape the site and download them all automatically.
