    TH-U Rig Player is my no. 1 go-to as well (they sound more organic to my ears) but I didn't know it's possible to mix them up without creating those nasty unwanted frequencies

    @NethBT
    Profilers (toneX,Kemper, QC,THU RP,MOOER MNRS ...) provide a very realistic dynamic.
    There are less troubles stacking them (like ToneX pedals and THU RP amps).

    There are far more troubles with algos sims.
    I got very strange results with Helix, like getting a totally different frequency response by changing gain with HM2 clone

    On my "HM2 like" preset on Mooer GE200 : no problem at all, perfectly stable

    @EdgerFriendly
    That's why i tend to use only profilers now as overdrive/distortion/amp goes
    Even the best algos like Helix sound "mehhh" to me

    Not sure I'm understanding your filtering logic here.
    If you enter '%IK Multimedia%', by following your example below:
    • delete from tonemodels where Tag_AmpName like '%KPA%' or Tag_description like '%KPA%' or Tag_modelName like '%KPA%' and tag_username != 'IK Multimedia'
    Doing this only IK's models appear, so how can it be possible to exclude them while deleting other 3rd party models ?
    Can you explain how to first exclude IK from the tonemodels list and then filter the ones I want to delete ?

    Happy to explain friend. You can divide the query in 2 parts:
    • delete from tonemodels where upper(Tag_AmpName) like '%MODELING%' or upper(Tag_description) like '%MODELING%' or upper(Tag_modelName) like '%MODELING%' or upper(Tag_CabName) like '%MODELING%'
    • and tag_username != 'IK Multimedia';
    In the first one, you can change the MODELING term to anything you want, it's the term that you're looking to delete.
    The second bullet part should always be there as-is no matter what, it's a safety measure that prevents stuff from IK to be deleted.

    In your case, if you replaced MODELING (or KPA in your example) with "IK Multimedia", then you are searching for IK stuff (although they shouldn't really appear because we exclude stuff from IK with the 2nd part of the query).

    TL;DR: Just replace the value in '%XXXXXX%' with anything, except from IK Multimedia and make sure the second part of the query is always there :)

    Thanks mate, I appreciate the guide. Just for clarification..
    • The first query can have any name relative to the tag such as: %FRACTAL% , %KEMPER%, %AXEFX%, %LINE6% , %BLACKSTAR%, %ENGL%...etc....
    • To always exclude IK Multimedia, the second query must always look exactly like this: tag_username != 'IK Multimedia; ?
    1. Can you also clarify the names for kemper, axefx and any other amps to remove that are not actual amp captures ?
    2. Is there a way to show my favorites so I dont accidently delete those ?
    3. What if I want to delete by username only ie: %FIREPILE%.... does the second part of the query then become invalid ?
    4. What does the upper pre-tag mean ?
    Cheers from an SQL noob :cool:

    How do you guys think Tonex compares to the Axe Fx? I tried both and I'm very impressed with what tonex does as a plugin. Though I think Axe Fx is different and useful for different things.

    Hi. Simpleton here. Mac user. Would someone please walk me through this. I have the legit IK Multimedia Total Bundle which has ToneX. I want to freely try the ToneX with no restrictions and no noise bursts. I went through all the steps of offline keygen registration via the Authorization Manager. Somehow I still see nothing but demo material. Please assist. Thanks.

    At this rate we'll need a web app using a MySQL database to organize this preset explosion :rofl:

    Now seriously, haven't got time yet to try this bad boy but your work is highly appreciated :wink:

    I have an Axe FX 2 and we are now in the age of A.I. where the Tonex simply captures the amp/cab characteristics better than the Fractal. I am not a gigging musician and I might sell my Axe Fx as soon as there's a considerably fair offer where I won't take a huge hit. Yeah right now, from a bedroom musician's standpoint, the Axe Fx will simply have to go, it's clunky and not user friendly, my 2 cents

    Yeah I think I also agree. I hears some people saying that tonex doesn't capture amp dynamics and bloom very well like axe fx does which I agreed with at first but after trying more profiles, I gotta say I think I prefer tonex.

    That's it.

    But e aware that you'll lost any preset you saved, as profiles AND presets are stored in the library.db.
    But you can export your presets as txp files before swaping the library.

    Notice that the more profiles you have, longer the loading of Tonex will be.
    With 5000 profiles, it takes some times...
