    I agree with you bwzrd.
    According to wikipedia source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wah-wah_(music)
First wah wah was emulating (modeling) a muted trombone or trumpet.
We use several models of whas in our modelers, so why not using profiles from modelers if it sounds great ?

I've crafted some delicious Guitar Rig 3 captures. Who's buying?
I know, I know. I'm the man... :disco:

Just joking, don't kill me!:rofl:

About capturing modelers ... it is like making a copy from a copy.
I can make an MP3 from a cassette ripped from a CD.
Or just make a FLAC from CD :wink:

BUT feel and sound being subjective ... some ppl prefer older Line6 X3/XT to HD/Helix

I really want good capture of a Mesa Badlander, which I know he owns. Ola's is ok but a little dark sounding with the nuemann microphone.

    Couldn't agree more..

    For live playing/rehearsing,
I'd take any clean Amp and a smelly VOX Tonelab over the POD HD500 any day..

There's something about mid-late 90's MFX that made them great for that,
maybe not the most realist digital-tube feel, but something good enough, Fun and Handy that one could just Play and be happy with..

I've had the POD HD for 10 years, it's great for Work and recording,
and it served me well on my studio guitarist adventures, but as a playing guitarist I haven't enjoyed it a single moment.. lol

In my case it's Neural who's bringing the joy back,
been toying with Wong (blue) and Nolly (white), and that's the Best tone/feel I've had in over a decade..

He is not a guy with enough mixing experience to do it. And he is not alone ...
Listen to the previous SDS MT15 capture to compare with a pro capture ...without mic and reactive load

Yes, that's why I think, to a certain extent, that some Kemper/Fractal profiles are sounding great compared to some amp profiles.
The number of parameters involved for a great ToneX profile is huge.

I have to tell you I'm pretty disappointed with the majority of presets in ToneX. They sound awfully muddy to me. I'm using a UAD Apollo Solo USB interface. I'll have to check out Jon's MT-15 one.

It's great... and some sort of competition, I'd say. Isn't it? :dunno:
A bit strange it's US ALL the real winners, in the end! Hence, my sincere thanks to all participants, indeed.
    Cya! :)

Worked perfectly for me on last version
    Thanks !

Sadly, even with SDS MT15, there is NO chug, balls ... call it what you want.
It is FREQUENCY accurate. But NOT dynamic accurate by any stretch of arguments.
It will work if you already recorded a DI track for a mix.
But WHO will want to play it directly on high gains ?

You need to work each pick attack like an hammer.
Easy with slow tracks. But totally impossible with fast BPM.
Gain is stuck very early, you can't push it beyond.
In fact, gain knob simply do nothing more than squashing the tone.
And if you try a pedal in front, you get MUD with no dynamic.

It may fool ppl listening to it (not me BTW), but when you play it, it is a massacre on anything high gain.
I prefer to play on Tonelab or Pod XT than this.

THU Rig Player eat it for breakfast. Try Satan or ENGL captures.
    Quad Cortex too.
    Kemper same.
Even cheap Mooer MNRS is better for high gain.

Cab disabling still suck (unlike on THU RP) : a muddy mess.
On Mooer MNRS, you can use preamps AND add power amp/IR as you want (like i do).

I don't understand ... do ppl REALLY PLAY high gain on it ?
And compared it to anything else PLAYING it ?

Because even Helix "regular" modeling is way ahead on high gain.

    May be good for listening/reamping/mixing.
But a PAIN to play for high gain guys like me.

I'm back to THU Rig Player and Helix native

PS : From SDS himself (try to get that on ToneX ...)

I have added Mr Audio's Library.db but for some reason unknown to me the number of amps shown is 2840 not 3035. Have I done something wrong?

    Problem sorted. My bad.

I also just took the last .db from Mr Audio's and I don't understand what's happening to you, for me I found some
3017 . And the .db file is 56422400 bytes
