    Hi

I´ve just had a pro sound engineer making a test of these two microphones, result:

The microphone that come with ARC system is actually a quality mic and the Behringer ECM8000 is so close it makes sense using it with the ARC System software!

So if you have the software you should be able to do a propper job with the Behringer!

    Just for your knowledge!

    Cheers

As far as I know, The arc mic has a different high frequency rolloff,
therefore the measurements with the behringer will not be accurate.

Nope! Its nearly the same as the Behringer, but you could say there´s a a very little difference in the mid range - this was so little it´s not a real issiue.

I forgot to say that there were two more mics in the test: Dbx and Icon!

This is really hard to deal with... it is depends on exactly what monitors you are testing etc etc!

I talked to IK Multimedia support and they confirmed that there are several other mics that can be used with the ARC software
to achieve the same results. It's not necessary to use the included mic.

    These mics were checked:

-The one that comes with the soft.

    -Behringer ECM8000

    -dbx RTA-M

    -iSem EMX-7150

They will all do the job wih the software and prices are very different!!

    Cheers
