If your HDD hangs (its LED is being on with no reason for a long time), maybe this is the problem

This is the true disaster when your HDD spins with no specific reason so that you can not even move your pointer.

You can disable some services like "Spot Verifier", "Superfetch", "BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)", your installed Antivirus, "Regular Maintenance from the TaskScheduler", "sharing in (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings)" or even run "sfc /scannow" or "CHKDSK" commands in the shell.

If they did not solve your problem maybe the reason is with "mcbuilder.exe" or other corrupted Dll files. Don't delete it because the dependent tasks will not work so well. Just follow the guideline in the below link. Don't forget to make a backup of your registry before doing any repair. If you want to protect your registry from any modification and apply the repair just to the Dlls, just uncheck it.

The above tips have worked for me till now. If you had a better idea, please share. Thank you.
