Being a sound designer myself, Diego is my idol and mentor (in the same way that Ben Burtt is). Nice and chilled dood!
Sound designers Vs. Sound users (musicians or whatever called) I actually think sound designers have more fun than musicians. They're like adventurers without any specific map in their minds. Trying out every thing. Musicians are like them to some extent but with more constraints. Good musician would be easily distinguished from the bad one but in the sound world, people mostly expect the fresh sounds they've not heard before from their favorite persons. A real musician can release just an album (max 50 minutes) but sound designer perhaps 10000 minutes in a year (I know, bad comparison). He should have more knowledge (music theory, culture, trend, ...). I personally like to focus more on the musical aspects of the sounds than creating them. Please correct me.
