I spent the last 2 years using the integrated gpu in my laptop, and since 2 weeks the 960m exclusively. No difference at all in a Daw.

this is not a 9th Generation!
i9 7900-60 is already there but i was talking about 9th Gen of intel cpu's which is i9 9900k , and it will release on 1st of October,

always i prefer to build my tower by my self, it cost less + what exactly i want :)

Or, you could save money and learn to just bounce in place to alleviate the CPU hit. It opens more doors to creativity and more interesting edits. (IMHO) Perhaps also use less separated effects (as in don't have 16 reverb instances) ;)

Sure, having a more powerful machine is cool and great bragging rights and all, but the cores themselves aren't getting much faster (due to heat), just more of them, so that doesn't always translate to your DAW having more power.

Really? Interesting, so you mean core i9s are not good for music production?

I had a budget to work from and seen on a gamers forum that the i7 is a strong processor, plus couple of people on here have said they have less power than the i7 and there machines are beasts. Also it fit with my budget and my needs

My older system is ok with the soundcard but I do notice problems with the graphic card sometimes it freaks out then the screen goes black comes back on.

I plan on using FL studio go into that more right now I'm using Ableton Live 10 which I love it dies when I start adding Native Instruments, Virtual Pianos, plugin effects, samples alot of the time I have to remix blind keep bouncing the tracks I'm hoping some of my 32bit plugins work on windows 10 because I'm on windows 7 and my new studio pc is windows 10.
