Hi folks

I need some advice before I buy myself a blimp/zeppeliner

For those who don´t know what a blimp/zeppeliner is:



Untill now I´ve been looking for these:

1: ProAim BMP40R: http://www.proaimshop.com/pas/PROAIM-BMP40-R-Blimp-Mic-Windshield.html
2: Røde Blimp: http://www.rode.com/accessories/blimp

AFAICS they are basically doing the same job on the same terms - they are pracically identical in a technical context, but the price is very different!

Any of you guys having experiences with especially the ProAim BMP40R..... I can get it for ½ price as the Røde Blimp!!!

I would have guessed the more expensive blimps are water resistant. Other than that, Røde likely cash in on their brand too, but they seem to use more expensive materials - Mogami cables and Switchcraft plugs aren't exactly cheap.

I´ve spend all day getting valid information on this issiue, and Im really confused!!!

Could be interesting to hear some first hand experiences on both of them.
