I need a Sampler! Sampling producers come in

    Hi guys hope you're all fine!

    As the title suggest, I need a vst Sampler possibly 64 bit.

    I use Ableton Live and Cockos Reaper as my main DAWs so you know, I can't use Live tools outside of Live :bleh:

    I'm very confused about TAL Sampler, Maschine, Emu, Stacker, Slice, Seroto, Sonic Academy... Because I never used one!

    I used to use (lol) samplers only for Drum Hits like Kontakt or Live Sampler.

    Since I'd like to go into different genres as Synth Pop, Soul, Funky House, RnB or genres that use Chopped and Screwed techniques, I'd love to know which Sampler could help me getting tunes out of melodic samples.

    I need time stretching features, keyboard playability (I don't own an Akai or Pad), if possible sf2 compatibility but it's not a big issue if it isn't.

    Seems like Geist from Fxpansion would be a good fit. Go for Geist1 if you just need a sampler it's way more stable than Geist2. Go for Geist2 if you need advance functions (it has a whole modulation system included, coming from Ableton it should feel familiar for you, modulation system which isn't in Geist1, might be an overkill though, it depends what you want to accomplish).

    Oh and for Geist1, if you want to give it a shot, there is a nice series of tutorials made by fxpansion (back when they still cared), they are really good and it's more than enought to get things rolling. It's a bit impressive at first sight, but it's actually pretty easy to handle.
