You may need to set the template for what kbd settings you want to play with first.

The ( computer ) Keyboard will not work out of the box in FL Studio. ( yes i think they should fix this, but this is how they are so... )

You need to right click on the "typing keyboard to piano keyboard icon" and then select your template... such as Piano

After that you can play the instruments whenever you have the keyboard icon selected

Download Fl Studio 12-you don't have to use it, just get it so you can get 12's custom "Fl Studio ASIO"-it will work with Fl 11 as well. This driver has super low latency, I honestly can't tell the difference from normal ASIO, and makes playing from a midi keyboard super easier than having to use the primary sound driver.
If you really don't want to get FL 12, let me know, and I'll dig through my downloads to find this generic ASIO driver that has super low latency that will work with FL 11.

 

hi Herr Durr, their new FL studio ASIO driver was made just for this kind of thing, can you upgrade to the new release? I think the driver is with FL12 update.
