I’ve also been wondering where they are. I hope the witches are safe and well and simply enjoying some well-deserved rest.

 

There's been no major plugin releases this past few weeks, I'm sure they'll make an appearance when they have something worthwhile ready to share.

 

Pulsar Modular and Kiive Audio just updated their plugins with new features over the past weeks. Plugin Alliance is about to release another bx plugin tomorrow. I am really looking forward to seeing the witches showed up again soon. Fingers crossed.

 

I've only been using only R2R for awhile now.
What other release groups can I trust?

 

I am on windows, so VR, TCD, and R2R. For mac, I only know Moria.

 

even if they call themselves (witches), they are people like you and me and need a vacation, relaxation, time for themselves and the family .... they come back

Yes r2r is on holiday. They need to rest.

 

ALL the groups are trustworthy - otherwise they wouldn't be groups for very long.

R2R is just notable for usually producing the... tastiest... of releases, for lack of a better term. It's obvious that there has been a lull in R2R releases lately given the paltry picken's the last few weeks. Shitload's of re-regurgitated sample/preset packs do not constitute real releases IMO...

That exactly how they mac users feel for a long while now

 

R2R's installers are the cleanest and easiest. They don't modify the original release (they don't include their name as VR do, they don't modify icons, ...), they don't mess up with folders and registries, and they don't leave leftovers after uninstallation.
For the moment, I only use R2R releases exept for FLARE's Bitwig because I don't have a choice.

it's only been 2.5 weeks, I don't think that's even long enough to count as a break

 

I agree, but at the same time, there's been so many incredible releases since the big wave a few years back and even before then that it would take me a lifetime to run out of inspiration.

And now everyone can have a Virus TI2 thanks to The Usual Suspects, if your CPU isn't powerful enough you can just use the Snow version. That synth alone can practically do anything. There's just so much already at our fingertips, fire up your daw and make some noise

 

The truth is that a very special bond has been created with our R2R heroes. They are part of family now

Does it work properly?

 

Whats the point of such simping? Upgrades or new plugins won't necessarily improve your music. If you can't create with what you have now, it might be time to change your approach.
