I thought about a special colab, since I, as I usally do, am a little confused about my own tracks, concerning the mastering, I am very sure , that I am a good mastering engeneer, with tracks from other people..you might know that problem.
I do own some hardware stuff like, Xlogic Xdesk, ssl converters, Manley Pultec, api 2500...Pmc as speakers and event..
So here`s my thought, you could master my tracks (10 for the new CD), and I will master yours!
Tell me what you think about that, and would you be with me?

Mastering.. is about mastering a mixed track. So you should send a Mixed Stereo track. Nothing Separate.
If you're not happy with the mix, mix it again!

Yeah it`s a whole concept, to all those Musicians , that influenced me.. I am thankful for any help!

 

I've been wanting to do this as well. Unfortunately, I don't have much in the way of outboard gear, just my ear and too many plugs to consider.
Mostly rock tracks, roughly 15. Still trying to get the mixes finalized, but I could work with someone a couple of songs at a time.

I've read elsewhere that mastering is best done by another ear.

 

@digitaldragon ,yes that is my opinion , too, I think that is all you need, a good ear!The stuff I recorded is anyway analog enough..I think, there are some real great plugins out there!!I will give the link free, so anyone can listen, or play arround here, but please, if you sample or, use it somewhere, let me know..If y`all like, I could even up the "stems", I think that is what the single tracks are called now..
