Cubase 9.5, Studio One 3.5, Ableton 9.5, etc, what I noticed is that most DAW has the most stability in xx.5 version. The xx.0-xx.4 versions are kinda beta version. The developers get feedback from the users and make the perfect version in xx.5. It's my opinion (or imagination) though.
Has anybody thought the same?

 

Funny how that is. Seeing "version 1.0" also makes me nervous, like I'm using a beta product.

It shouldn't be that way, but it is what it is.

 

No software will ever be a Final, exept the dev stop working on it - but this result not in a bugfree version .-)

 

Exactly the reason why I don't like to use anything v1.0.

Depending on the developer, v1.5 can be a bug fest, too. That's why reading the changelogs can mean a lot. Usually the version of the program or a plugin with the least changes is the most stable and reliable one.

 

Yeah, because like it has been said most v1.0 versions are as buggy as betas.
And the trend is growing bigger with the rise internet and "fast updates".

For instance, right now I'm using the first version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2019. So far it runs good but ;_;_:¨^+`23 I·$$%$%&$%DFKDFKFDKDFKGDF·$%%%··"""""23e3

5er version, you say? There is some truth in it!

I’m married since 11 years, and it’s a successful marriage.
But this was my fifth woman in my life, who I decide first to marry.
The previously women was questionable and demanding.
Now the 5er version are well-made and run stable as you would expect!
