So I've got an In-house TV distribution system that has some components failing and/or starting to fail.
The system goes like this:

Mac mini to a TVOne HD scaler/scan converter. TVOne to a Contemporary Research QMod SDI (qmod assigns RF channel), qmod to rf distributor.

My issue is, my scalers have died (at least that's the best I can figure.

The Mac mini comes out mini display to vga via a dongle and outputs 720p.
The QMod is set for a 720p input.

The Mac mini does have an hdmi output if there's a way to make use of it.

My question is, does anyone know of a different chain of process for this or is this still the best option? I need to get new scalers, but if there's another method for this, I'd rather upgrade.
Any thoughts?

As long as you can't distribute HDMI directly to your 'TVs' you're stuck with exactly your solution. So you end up buying new Scaler/Scan Doublers. I don't know how many TVs you provide with video. Maybe thats the point where you do it via an hdmi splitter and some hdmi>cat5 converters. (By investing in TVs with HDMI In, do you really use CRTs?)
