Hi, i made a new track pretty fast, and it got already 130 plays without posting it, i dont wanna be that guy that posts everything he creates, altho this was my favorit, im sharing it for you guys to feedback on

i also clipped the track for maximum loudness without distorting, toughts?
The feedback IS very usefull so im posting this one track once, then i ll shut up.

Your music is like a vacation - finally some variety. Very good bass - very good treble and the right reverb or delay.
I've rarely heard music in your genre mixed so well. Not overloaded and not boring. Please release version 2 with vocals at some point!

 

Great! Only thing I dont like is that at the drop at 4 min, you first filter the low before the drop.

Yes i filter it down and put a bitchrusher on it giving it white noise riser instead of smacks from snare

 

Just an idea... your photo/avatar should actually have your artist name or your motto on it.

You need a different background, nicely meant with the gesture of reading books... the curtain looks unprofessional... sunset, moon or something similar, spatial depth etc.!

One problem is the Ö in lundström it doesnt work out side sweden parts of europa so it becomes lundstroem

Which clipper are you using? Are you experimenting with the Baphometrix "Clip To Zero" strategy?

I ask because the shape of the waveform image on the Soundcloud link still shows a considerable variation in amplitude or dynamics. I know the image is not entirely accurate, but it still reflects the waveform in a "zoomed out" way. Many tracks where CTZ strategy is used look much more like something out of Dada Life's Sausage Fattener plugin.

I feel like the hats are distorted / too harsh. I would try a light hi shelf on the hats, pulling down 3-5 db or so with a gentle slope down to anywhere from 7k and up. Or a shelf paired with something ike soothe, or multiband compressor, or all the above. It may be just that they need to be turned down a bit, so they arent hitting the clipper so much.

Also feel like the hats have either too much reverb or need to be transient shaped a bit. Nothing crazy, small change of 10 percent less wet or just subtle shaping of the decay to tighten them up. This may also help with the uber hi's im hearing.

Sub bass could get a bit of a boost. actual sub bass, not low mids.

Snare feels a tad robotic. I would experiment with the groove, ever so slightly shifting every second or 4th snare off grid, behind the beat. Would also try automating the volume of them, just to inject a bit of random.

I think i said the same thing in your last song, but i feel like it could really benefit from some strange textural / found sound / foley loops that is creating micro rhythm's in the background. Something rhythmic. Or make something rhythmic by grabbing a foley loop and warping the transients around so that they fall more on grid. Or use something like shaperbox, infiltrator etc to add a sense of rhythm / repeating pattern.
