It's called "restoreclosedtabbuttons.info" and I caught it on the partner site on my Mac Pro with Google Chrome browser. I have already run Malwarebytes Anti Malware for Mac and removed the extension, but sometimes I get a fullscreen pop up saying that I need to install the extension, which is very annoying.
I already installed MacScan and Sophos Antivirus and made a check, but sometimes I still get the pop up.

I also checked my Applications folder with invisibe files displayed but I couldn't find anything suspicious.
Does anyone here know what els I can do?

    That would be awesome!

Use internet explorer 6. At this point all malware will be like "whaat? what browser is this, how can I open new tab on it? I can't deal with this new technology"

Or to drive security measures even further, use Windows 3.1

@Hans242 The easiest way would be a backup (e.g. time capsule), so you can revert to a prior version. Have you got one?

Just make sure u use Noscript & uBlock extensions in ur browser when browsing dodgy sites liek that, in the future! Also, that Russian girl is a hairy dude from Romania, those pills will not make ur pianist grow & that guy from Nigeria is not a prince. Probably. Although I've sent him enough money that he should be able to buy a title, by now.

Just register and get rid of pop-ups.

Why did you click on the install button ? I never do mistakes like that. That's why I don't need any antivirus. Only USB drive can harm my pc.

I have been registered for like 5 years or so... But thank you! The pop ups come when I click on a download link.

I did definitely not click intentionally on it. It was the first accident like this for years. And in Germany we say something like "And now I have the salad!" :(

Will buy a time capsule now (that it's too late). But first I must get rid of that crap! Is no one here who can really help me with this matter now that it's too late and not with what I should have done BEFORE?

Sounds like you might have a browser hijack. Reset your browser (chrome) back to default? Not reinstall, reset.

Thank you! Hmm, yes I guess that's what I must do. Though I loose all my settings then. But anyway, better than this!
BTW, an extension called ScriptSave kept me from being able to reply here first. I had to allow this site first. :) This thing seems to work.

@Hans242 If you log in your chrome to google first, all your setting will come back after you log in again after you reset

Okay, thank you! I'm a bit sceptic about giving Google all my data. Well they have it anyway, but I don't have it in my account. I guess that's the price for the convenience and the opportunity to back up my browser data. :)

Like when you log into your apple account and all your apps and music/vids come back to your mac/iphone but different. But I agree, I never log in to a microsoft account on windows. I hope it works for you. Malware just pisses me the hell off.

Yeah, install Linux for browsing. We still don't get those.
