I can't install Superior Drummer 3 - Fields of Rock SDX.
I've been reading through past threads and trying to install Fields of Rock SDX 1.03 into Superior Drummer 3, but it's not working.
I'm launching the Sound Updater with the directory structure set up like this, but the installation path doesn't show up, and I can't do anything.
I've placed the entire 150GB sound pack into the SL-FieldsOfRock folder.
    Please help me.
Of course, I tried adding the ADD Library to Superior Drummer 3 as well, but it was recognized as an Invalid Library.

    See if it is this:

    Make sure:

    • You're not placing the 150GB folder inside SL-FieldsOfRock — that is the folder.

    • SDX_FieldsOfRock.config must be present directly inside the SL-FieldsOfRock folder.

    SL-FieldsOfRock\
    ├── Sounds\
│ ├── *.obw (lots of .obw files)
    │ └── <More subfolders and files from Toontrack>
    ├── Avatars\
    ├── MIDI\
    ├── Presets\
    ├── <other SDX content>
    └── SDX_FieldsOfRock.config

Thank you for your prompt reply. However, as shown in 20250607_4.jpg, I am unable to complete the initial installation or registration of the library, so it cannot be recognized in SD3.

Thanks for the details—this sounds like a frustrating issue, and I’ll do my best to help you get Fields of Rock SDX installed properly in Superior Drummer 3 (SD3).

Let’s walk through a checklist and step-by-step troubleshooting based on Toontrack's expected SDX structure and common issues.

    1. Confirm Folder Structure (Critical)
The SDX installer expects a very specific folder structure. Your SL-FieldsOfRock folder should look something like this:

    bash
    SL-FieldsOfRock/
    ├── Sounds/
    │ ├── FieldsOfRock_001.obw
    │ ├── FieldsOfRock_002.obw
    │ └── ... (continues to FieldsOfRock_###.obw)
    ├── EZX_config.xml
    ├── SDX_info.xml (or similar)

Important: You must not place the installer or update .zip/.rar files directly inside SL-FieldsOfRock. You need the extracted content, not the installer packages.

    2. Use the Toontrack Product Manager
If possible, avoid manual installation. Instead, use the Toontrack Product Manager to:

    • Register your Fields of Rock serial number.

    • Download the full SDX pack directly from Toontrack.

    • Let the Product Manager install it—this avoids file/folder structure issues.
If you've downloaded the pack from a third-party or used a backup, it might not have the proper SDX XML and metadata required for SD3 to recognize it.

    3. If You Must Install Manually (Offline Method)
    If you're manually installing:

    1. Extract the entire content of the Fields of Rock SDX pack (all .obw files and config files) into a folder named exactly SL-FieldsOfRock.

    2. Place this folder somewhere like:
      • C:\Toontrack\Superior Drummer 3\SL-FieldsOfRock (Windows)

      • /Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior Drummer 3/SL-FieldsOfRock (Mac)
    3. Open Superior Drummer 3 and go to:
      • Settings → Libraries / Paths → Add Library Path

      • Point it to the folder that contains SL-FieldsOfRock, not inside it.
    4. If that fails, try using the Toontrack Sound Updater:
      • Point it to the root folder where SL-FieldsOfRock resides.

      • Let it scan and attempt to install/verify the sound content.
    Troubleshooting Tips
    • Invalid Library: Usually caused by missing XML metadata or incorrect folder structure.

    • SD3 Not Recognizing It: It must have the exact SDX info XML files.

    • No Installation Path in Sound Updater: This can happen if it doesn’t detect a valid SDX structure or files.
    Want to Check Your Screenshot?
If you upload 20250607_4.jpg, I can analyze it to spot any folder or file mismatch.

    ✅ Summary
    • Ensure SL-FieldsOfRock/ has the proper structure and content.

    • Use Toontrack Product Manager to register/install if possible.

    • If manual, double-check the extracted folder, and don’t place compressed files directly.

    • Use Settings → Add Library Path in SD3 after everything is in place.
If you're still stuck, feel free to upload the image or a screenshot of your folder contents, and I’ll guide you further!

It's telling you the path is wrong, because the 150gb folder you moved needs to be up one directory. Compare the two locations.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I downloaded and extracted the files, then moved both Sound Updater.exe and Contents\SL-FieldsOfRock to a different drive. However, Sound Updater.exe does not display the installation directory, so I’m unable to install the library.
What I need is an installer for the FieldsOfRock library that actually works.

it is not looking at the correct directory. make a symlink if you have to. the program is not finding the content it is supposed to find. it's not the program.

Thank you very much for your kind support.
I downloaded the files from Audio Warez and extracted them as they were, and now I'm trying to install them from a different drive than the one shown in the image I uploaded first. However, it's not working.

When I run Sound Updater.exe, it only shows what's in 20250607_4.jpg.
The same issue occurs with another SD3 library as well.
However, the SD3 Core Library could be installed successfully using the included Sound Installer.exe.

I’m afraid I may not be able to solve this on my own.
I truly apologize for all the trouble I’m causing.
