AS the title says, unless I use a vpn, I can t access the the sister site from italy, both chrome and firefox give a message saying the connectionn is not safe and to contact the site owner to solve the problem. The only way i can enter audioz is by using Opera with its vpn on.

 

I have sites I cant access from where I live either. It's probably your government putting restrictions on you. Thankfully though you know how to use the VPN..

 

Usually in chrome there's an option under Advanced or something that lets you ignore warnings and just proceed anyways. Have you tried that? Just be sure you end up on the right page when you go there. Remember the suffix part starts with ".d-something" (avoiding mentioning the site name here).

But yeah, if that doesn't work, then what Sylenth said sounds right. Maybe even the warning happens because you're being redirected away from the site by your ISP, or something.

Chrome does not like @SAiNT sometimes but it's ok after an update from browser/webmaster...

YEs it must be a superior power that prevented the browser from accessing from my country, because I don t have the usual options to skip the warning

Scan your PC for viruses and trojans. a good tool is the free ADWcleaner.
Look in your autostart folder to see if what is what doesn't belong there.
Call your internet provider. Which country ?

im fine here, no need for vpn to access it. you probably have a proxy rat redirecting all traffic somewhere else.

What is strange that I can access it with my mobile, but not on desktop

I ve just checked and apparently the culprit is my antivirus (kaspersky), i deactivated it to be sure and i could access the site, I will just need to add it to the exclusions

Can confirm this, had the same error. What worked for me, was disabling the Kaspersky Protection, reloading the sister site and re-enabling Kaspersky.
Works again, even after reloading the page.

Change your DNS to Google's DNS

 

I managed to fix it by exporting a certificate from the Brave browser and importing it into FF. Seems to be a problem with Kaspersky's certificate.

It is an alleged expired or invalid SSL certificate....

Instructions to adjust FIREFOX (only needed to be done once)

1) Close Firefox
2) In the directory

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\​

open the currently used profile and in that profile directory open the file

"SiteSecurityServiceState.txt"​

in the editor.
3) In the file Search URL "audioz.download" and delete the complete line for all found entries and then save.
4) Set file (Explorer > right mouse > properties) to READONLY

Now you can open audioz.download in FF without VPN

I suggest to get rid of Kaspersky. Windows Defender is enough. Run Malwarebytes or AdwCleaner once in a while and you are good.

 

I used to have Kaspersky and thought it was great, then all the news came out a while back that they were shady mothafookas (which may have been disproven, but I can't be bothered to research that now that I've moved on), so I dumped them and went with MalwareBytes Premium. Very happy with MB. I just turn it off when running some installers / keygens (I Sandboxie those).

Really though, you'll run into the odd problem such as this with other AVs too, and I personally think it's a good idea to have something when we ride the rough seas as we do for acquiring some software. Like @duskwings said though, you can just throw an exception in your AV for cases like this, and problem solved.

 

In this case it seems not to be a problem with AVs, but a change inside of Firefox (or more likely the underlying Gecko engine).
I've had the same problems* as OP beginning after a Firefox update but don't use an AV.



* "Your connection is not private". Literally the same error message in Firefox and Chrome.
