I think I broke the google/youtube algorithm.
Since a couple of days the algorithm is going crazy and google seems to have the following picture of me:

• My political views are right-wing conservative.
• I am interested in the preparation of baked goods.
• I am interested in the purchase of firearms and/or their use.
• I am interested in K-Pop.
• I also seem to have developed a penchant for barbie dolls and similar toys.
• As if that was not enough, my sexual inclination seems to have something to do with sadomasochism.

The hint on google or youtube that I am not interested in this topic seems to have the opposite effect.

Not only does it not correspond to my interests. In most cases it is the absolute opposite. Either I broke google or google seems to want to do a lot of missionary work.

It is connected with your virtual identity log which is build on you from various platforms, social networks, ads, your banks, etc. Google about it, people are paying big bucks for this type of information it seems.

 

Oh I already use duck duck go, umatrix and pbadger.
But of course I still have google accounts and I also use YT, so I am by no means anonymous... Logged in or not...

Everything goes crazy there.
I had this idea so I checked my accounts for manipulation attempts, ran wireshark to check i/o packets, checked my router, etc.
All clean, unless I missed something.

I know. And until a few days ago, that was ok, because I know how to handle it and google provided me with useful information/ads. The change came fast and hard. Like google thinks I am a completely different person.

 

There are a lot of viruses, malware, browser plugins and websites out there which secretly use your browser or even your identity to view and like all kinds of social media shit. I would recommend changing your passwords and to look through your recent likes if anything pops up.

 

Any surfing activity on the same IP address might likewise impact your google profile... Do you share your web connection with other people? Specifically, do you live with an angry korean student with a penchant for rubber and 'The Great British Bake-Off'?

It has nothing to do with viruses or breaking google. These are not your exact interests, but kinda like potential interests. For example a person who is interested in cats and searches for lots of cat related stuff then that person will be associated with topics and interests such as other kind of pets and animals, nature, argiculture, argicultural tools and vehicles, wildlife, bushfires, wwf, charities and so on. Everyone has a shadow profile, even if you opted out from ad presonalization.
Maybe you have watched the trailer of an action movie, or a gameplay video of an action game then it associated you with firearms and the pattern goes on.
Certain online shops are even more ridiculous than google, once I was searching for hair clippers and it recommended me vibrators and fleshlights for a month after that...

Restarting your router every day is a good practice, as you get a different IP address. It also works for downloading from sites like UL, but you have to clean the cookies, too. If you have a static IP, that's not good.

I made my Google tracker think I like astrophysics, physics, philosophy, sociology, history, Linux, certain bands [DM, Ministry, NIN, Prodigy etc...], and somewhat explicit porn.

Well, in general they can only know what my preferences are through Youtube, but that's a lot of info anyway. No matter that I use DuckDuckGo and uBlock Origin+NoScript.

Something like proxychains and macchanger should mask everything and hide in plain site (there are windows ports of both of these), a VPN or tor connection also helps

Since - if no DHCP is set up - the provider assigns a new public IP to the router once a day anyway, this step is superfluous.

The public IP address is not the problem anyway, because the problems are specific to the google account.

btw if you want to break Google and similars, just switch between various VPNs while using those services, they usually go mad, especially Google Chrome itself

 

And the government of America says to be afraid to collaborate with China, because of privacy and spying issues, while there is still no evidence detected at this point?

Well, actually a bit hypocritical if you realize that their own companies like Facebook, who has access to Whatsapp and Instagram, Google, who has access to for instance Youtube and Android, Twitter, Apple, etc are all already collecting a huge amount of privacy data and spying about people over the whole world? Apparently, these companies seems to know more about me than I do even know about myself...
