There is no need to correct people's grammar on the internet. Conventions such as spelling and grammar are for complex communications where things can become confusing unless convention is adhered to.

I am going to resist the urge to make snarky comments about the root of why some people feel the need to point out other people mistakes at the expense of a clear message... but I am thinking all sort of putdowns on why someone would feel the need to interject with 'duh spalling mang,' when it does not matter.

BTW spelling and grammar mechanics have nothing to do with intelligence, if they did publishers would not need editors (who for the most part are neither creative or smart enough to write a novel... but they can grammar and spellcheck the fuck out of it.) Psychiatrists have been saying this for decades now, but what do they know.

Imagine if such people were the heads of state!

 

I was going to put tl;dr but someone beat me to it.

I blame social media, reality television, video games, and children's attention spans become shorter at an alarming rate. Just about every kid in my neighborhood seems like they have terits, ADHD, or some other mental disorder and are always randomly yelling.

More people need to ditch their televisions and read a book for entertainment also. It is sort of sad that the majority of people miss out on all the wonderful literature out there.
