Im curious what kind of plugins are used for music like this (Especially Kick, Snare and lower keys )
Not quite experienced when it comes to electronic music so I look for some recommendations.
Also what kind of genre is this ?

Vital is another wavetable synth.. actually it's super similar to Serum in design. But, it's FREEEE (well, there's a pay version too, but free version works great), and doesn't have a developer on it that dedicates his life to copy protection.

I actually think it's better than Serum, even.

 

What about Snare and Kick VST's ?

 

Any industrial standart VSTi and VSTs.

 

One-shot samples and some mixing processes.

 

Vital is used for the same purpose of the mentioned VSTis

 

I guess it falls into "midtempo" genre, using this term you might be able to find some tuts on youtube to get you a direction. Also recommend you to take a listen on projects like REZZ and 1788-L.

About drums, the usual Vengeance packs might be enough (specially the ones for edm, electro and dubstep), but you can also take a look into dedicated midtempo sample and preset packs, they might offer some already processed sounds that will get you in the ballpark faster. Some "cyberpunk" packs might fit well too.

And as other people posted above if you have Serum, Vital or Phaseplant (no need for all of them tho, only one of these will be enough) you're pretty much covered in terms of synths, basses and everything in between.

I just tried to replicate the bass with Punchbox


Basically, take your sine with a fast attack and slow decay, add some distortion and a bitcrusher and you're done

 

Vital is a very good vst synth, it's free, it's modern in term of modulation and approach to wavetable synthesis.

Oh, well said, the Vengeance sample packs are gold, everybody doing EDM/House/Dubstep/you name it used them, if you're planning on using one-shots just give it a search on that russian tracker site :D
