It's getting tiresome to reinstall them every time I have to tweak some old setting or boot up a new instance. How do I stop them from reverting to demo mode? Should I add something to hosts (already added babyaud.io there, too early to tell if it made the difference) or make something read-only?

For me all baby VST work without any problems.
In my opinion you should not add anything to the host, because the plugins are almost all "Regged".
Attached 2 photos from the manual.

I would undo the host file and uninstall Baby Audio , delete all files and restart the PC and just run the setup. exe normally. C:\ProgramData\BABY Audio & C:\Program Files\BABY Audio

Yes. I am also having the same problem.
This has been happening in some recent R2R releases.
I have a problem with baby audio, pulsar modular, excite audio, yum audio products.
I was wondering if someone has an exact solution to this problem.

Start task manager.
If there are "FoodstampsIpcServer.exe" running, end it.
Access Block

Install

Run our setup and install.
Run plugin.
Click "Activate License".
Click "Click here for offline activation".
Sometime, you need to scroll down the activation dialog!
Offline Activation starts.
Click "Generate Machine File".
Save *.yml file to desktop.
Run our keygen.
Enter your name.
Click "Generate" and load *.yml file.
Save *.ylf License File.
Load *.ylf License File from plugin. Done!
If nothing happens after loading file, reload the plugin.
This issue happens when "FoodstampsIpcServer.exe" is blocked on the computer.
After you generate one License File, it can be loaded from other plugins.
=> If this trick works in legit version, you can buy one and get all
OpenGL Settings (Optional)

If you want to enable OpenGL for GUI rendering,
Open "gl" file in text editor.

Guys, you can download the legit installer from their website ( NOT THE TRIAL ) and use the key file from the R2R or FLARE release.

if you don't know how to get the legit files .. let me know.

@ annoyinghacker I haven't tried it yet though if it's asking to be placed in AppData folder you have to do a search and type AppData into Windows search. I've solved that secret hidden folder this way with other softwarez. Hope that helps?

I figured it out by:
1. Finder > Go > Go To Folder
2. Pasting "~/Library/Application Support/af854ba56b229a56c422472ee764eba8/"
3. Moving license file in to that folder

Intrigued to know how you figured out that "af854ba56b229a56c422472ee764eba8/" is the Baby Audio folder.

 

Been working for me since 2020 .. after their first release i bought every plugins they had available.. after that i just been using the key files from Flare or R2R on their newest releases... plus i use Little Snitch ( MAC ) i block pro tools from going online even if i own 95% of my plugins.. i dont like updates at all.

 

For those of you who have problems with BABY Audio and other dev's plug-ins: are you 100% sure that you've removed every single trace of the plug-ins before you installed any updates and/or changed between V.R/RET/R2R versions?

This is usually where the issues stems from - old licenses, VST files or settings files that have been left over after uninstalling. Always check for things like these manually, even when using Revo uninstaller and likewise software.

 

It would be a great help to write the exact name of the plugin in question.
For example: Pulsar Modular - P42 Climax v3.84 VST- R2R

First of all, please temporarily disable the virus protection!

Installation instructions from the NFO /R2R:
Pulsar Modular Releases
1.) Block "pulsarmodular.com" if you need.
2.) Install.
3.) Run our keygen to register before using.

How to:
1.) Uninstall and Delete:
C:\Program Files\Excite Audio

2.) Hidden folder:
C:\ProgramData\Excite Audio

3.) Restart PC
4.) Reinstall, simply run the Setup.exe.

 

I'm sure because it happens at the first installation.

An update of sorts: Since I added babyaud.io and www.babyaud.io (just in case) to my hosts file, nothing timebombed. Perhaps it worked!
I also considered making the license files in %appdata%\af854ba56b229a56c422472ee764eba8 read-only, but so far I didn't have to.
