I don't have the expertise to properly do a full psycho analysis on him. With that said, i think you 're giving him too much credit haha.
Academic? He can't put a proper sentence together man. A smarter troll would oppose a musician's financial frailty with something like a civil servant, someone with a permanent job. A baker is not a perm job, you can get fired anytime or if you are boss even face similar problems as musicians do. So yeah, frustrated sure. Academic not really. As for prick, well, more like a small hemorrhoid, like a pimple on your ass that is barely visible but still annoys the hell out of you hehe

Remember: using academic words doesnt make you an academic or at minimum, smart. In fact, the excessive use of jargons make you look more stupid than smart. Even a parrot can learn fancy words.
