seriously other daws show the name of instrument of the midi track when importing midi but in studio one on some files it just says channel 1, channel 2 and so on so i dont know what instrument it is.. solution to this?

 

If you're importing a midi that has multiple channels with multiple instruments, Studio One defaults the name of each channel to the name of each channel from the midi. What that means is that if inside the midi the channels are unnamed, it will come out unnamed in Studio One. I agree it's annoying, but I got used to knowing the instruments just by glance. Worst case scenario, I load the midi inside Synthesia to check, then I go back and rename everything.
