    Hi, I want to reinstall my OS, Windows 7 x64.
    Just wondering how to avoid reinstallation of all my Native Instruments Libraries (Kontakm, Maschine, etc.). Is there a way to save NI settings/Libraries locations? Obviously I will reinstall OS with same username and will also leave installed libraries on my external HDs.

    Far as I know u have to manually Re-add all ur libraries again if you want them in your library tab.

    HUGE pain in the ass that should have been addressed YEARS ago... as well as some way to sort.

    Nothing is more annoying than having to drag kontakt libraries up and down in order to arrange them. If you have a lot, it's a pain.

    Open regedit, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments], export as .reg.
    On your new install, import .reg by double clicking on it.
    All libs are back without pain...

    I did it on my last install

    Exactly locate the folder Native Instruments in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Native Instruments in the registry if you look in there you will see all your kontakt Lib:s as subfolders.

    Now export that as a regfile you will get an option to save as "reg" and "reg"(hive) i dont remember exactly which one you should export as so i exported two version and change the name on the second one so it didnt overwrite the first copy

    Now after your reinstall Windows just doubleclick on the regfile and they should appear again

    Here is a another trick you can try
    Before you could also change the order of how they appear in Kontakt before you double click just open the regfile with a texteditor and cut/paste the

    It may look like this
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Native Instruments/8Dio Adiago Violins]
    "ContentDir"=D:/Kontakt Libs/8Dio Adiago Violins"
    "Visibility"=dword:0000003

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Native Instruments/8Dio Basstard]
    "ContentDir"=D:/Kontakt Libs/8Dio Bastard"
    "Visibility"=dword:0000003

    But that may have change since the nicnt arrived

    So when i installed a new version of windows i used to change places on those so they came in alphabetic order and when i doubleclicked on the regfile they appear in the browser exactly the same order as in the regfile..

    So you can try that if you want..
