How To Reskin the Unskinable Bits in FL Studio?

Discussion in 'FL Studio' started by superliquidsunshine, Apr 10, 2015.

  1. Namaste and blessings sisters and brothers. I have been using a skin I created for a bunch of years now, but really, really, really would love to change the battleship grey bits of the mixer and other pieces that up to this point I have had no access to. Is there some way to get into the coding or some trick so that I might be able to adjust what my eye sees as a horrible color clash with my art work? Probably not, but I guess there is no harm asking...or am I just a plain fool for asking this? Have a great weekend, and don't forget to send some healing vibes to our brother Zeus to help him in his recuperation.

it will take a day to find them again to wright down,

  4. Thanks a lot Mono, your the best. But please don't go to to much trouble, your time is valuable, there is absolutely no rush. Thanks for your reply.

  5. Just downloaded reshacker and opened up your engine and...WTF.... I certainly could use your expertise on making any kind of sense of this whole can of worms that I have opened up in my attempt to...be unique. At your convenience, brother, and will I be ever in your debt?---me thinks so!!!

If you need a very good tool for colors in any languages (html, c++, java, decimal,...)
    check out Corante Color Picker:

    ervilsoft.com/corante-color-picker

It works like the color picking tool in Photoshop but as a fast and small (98kb) portable standalone tool.
Am using it nearly every day to get the colors for my css/html styles.

    greetings, r4e

    @ One Reason
i was hopeing to do it in a day :wow: encouragement is needed and lots of it,
it will be a frist if it all works out ok,
they were ment to let you change color with a click in v12
so hope to have it by then lol

    @ superliquid23
there are about 20 parts or numbers that you have to change
there in the rc data file,
if you have a quick look you will see the names there ,they all start with t short for the.
when you click on the little icon you will see whats in it on the right,
color = and the numbers are there,
ill wright a list of what rc files do what as some of them have alot of subfolders.
but you can mess around with it your self to see what you can do,

Thanks for the color picker r4e will come in handy

see ya in a bit i hope.

Also interesting is the following path:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\Shared\Artwork\Fonts

It includes the symbols used by FL Studio 12 as ttf (font) files.
If you get an editor for fonts, you can change these too!

OK, found 2 very nice tools for the decimal colors which are used to color FL12.
With them we are able to translate/convert the codes into visible colors, choose another one and translate them back
to add 'em in a resource editor. I made these tools portable for you so you just have to run and have fun [or so ;)]

    ColorSelectors-r4e.rar

If I would have too much time, I would program a nice tool which adresses all these color codes inside
of the FLEngine dll's to change them like using photoshop and easily create new skins but I don't
so you just can try it or use future skind by other users.

The first result is a darker colored about panel (only the backgrounds) and I think about
creating a complete dark theme for FL12.

ps: if you use the tool ColorMania, you have to select "PowerBuilder" as color mode to get
    decimal colors.

thanks the black skin is easy to do as its just 0
the hard part is trying to not change it all to black as you cant see what plugins are on the mixer,
taught i had fl 12 made but when i open it ,it was a mess lol
fl are going to update v12 again soon so ill just do 11 as its the last version that wont change any-time.
