How to record wind?

    I usually make wind patches with soft synths like Massive or Zebra 2... on Massive I just turn off the oscillators, turn on Tape Noise, crank up its Volume and Amp to max, Lowpass 4 filter with cutoff at 9 o' clock and Resonance at about 10-11 o' clock... add reverb to taste.. dinner is served. The result is very close to a wild wind blowing in the mountains.
