I'm trying to re-activate a legit library 'properly' but not sure how I should be doing this with a cracked full Kontakt? Can I go through the service centre and get a new activation key even though
- I've got one already
- it's cracked Kontact and I have other cracked libraries? Does this info on missing keys get sent with my request?

If I need to use the service centre, which version should I be using?

I'm running full cracked Kontakt 5.5.1 tracer on Windows 7. I have a dual boot with only clean Kontakt player / service centre on the other boot, so could use that if the license just sits in the folder with the instrument.

I've had a look through the Kontakt Windows thread and some of Introninja's other posts, but haven't been able to find a clear answer. It may be related that sometimes the Kontakt VST also says 'Player' at the top and sometimes it doesn't, though clicking on the logo I get full license with the correct version number. Maybe there's a ghost old version of player that's caused the strange interaction with the service centre?

I would try it by removing the library from Kontakt and then deleting or editing (depends how you it or what's the problem) the XML file.
Directory of this usually is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center
Then once it's done, add the library again to see what happens.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this but the library (Albion) is still running in demo mode after re-adding the library. In Service Centre it thinks it's activated, not sure what could have happened in Kontakt to make it think that it's not.
What do you think I should try next?

Edit: I've just tried updated to tracer's 5.5.2 version in case there was an issue that had developed with 5.5.1. With this version I've finally lost the 'player' gui, but the legit library is still in demo mode. I was careful to go through the full un-install process from Introninja for the player, and deleted library xml and reg keys before re-adding.

One further question I had with 5.5.2 - there's only one dll in the patch folders, so what do you with the 8 out and 16 out dlls? Just leave them as they are?
