Hi,
I am working on a song of my friend. I have laid out all the piano parts and pads in the background. I was kinda blank when it came to rhythm of the song. This is the first time I'm arranging for a song like this, in the past, I've always been into Pop Rock stuff which had pure acoustic drums. So, I started searching for a song like this on youtube and this is the closest match I've found.

See at 2.07 where the proper beat kicks in. This sounds like a sidestick on an acoustic drums but something else is also going, can't figure it out.
What VSTi to use to achieve this kind of beat?
I have Battery 4, but can't find any midi packs in it.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. The beat is in 3/4. Crash, hihat, rimshot, bassdrum, panned percussions, snare. It's all pretty basic imo.

N.I Kontakt can be loaded with (real and synthesized) drum libraries from a big number of sample companies.
