Hi guys, I've come to notice that many of the vsts and music software we download these days have hidden viruses in them or the keygens that come with them, now even though I have an antivirus in order to run my software I need to allow keygens and patches to go past the antivirus. How the hell can I minimise the chances of viruses getting into my pc because I dont like giving money to computer techs to fix my problems.

There is no hidden virus , If u notice My Post topic yesterday about R2R Keygen even if antivirus declare it as Virus is just the name is keygen is blacklisted
& The code binary of the keygen is almost similar to Virus Build Coding But (isn't Harmful)

PS : As Introninja Said If u download From AudioZ You are safe , if not you not safe

Step away from the computer and turn off the internet. 100% guarantee to solve the problem.

Antivirus companies have a database of "legit" programs. Whenever a keygen or patch tries to alter the code or override a license the antivirus will act as if a third party tries to "hack" your system.

If you really have trouble keeping your computer "safe" and spend a lot of money with "computer techs", i had recommend to just purchase the programs. :dunno:
The 100-300 dollars bill will ended up buying a license for ableton or bitwig in the long run.

At the end of the day, you got two options.
You could trust the crook with candy and jump on the van.
You could not trust the crook and buy legal software.

It's almost always the packer used. We take these matters seriously and if it would ever be discovered (which it hasn't ever been) we would investigate, inform our members and take it down. You are more likely to catch something from your next girlfriend.

Download and run combofix Official Combofix download and run as administrator, either disable antivirus,or just ok the warnings(Well depending on what antivirus you're already running)

Combofix is a one time run antivirus, rootkit, and malware cleaner/remover and it's updated every month. Many cpu techs use this and charge ridiculous amounts(I've seen upwards of $100)for virus/malware removal. It'll run thru like a 50 stage scan, then when it's done it opens a text log it created, anything removed was an infection.

But I have to agree with Cat,I've never seen anything serious or dangerous from this community,it would be reported if found, maybe a lil false alarm from a keygen, etc,I've disabled my av,and renabled afterward, and have even done a combofix scan afterward, nothing found. And nothing adversely affected. But generally speaking you'll be ok with even a decent free AV like Avast. But if you wanna make sure you don't have infections avast doesn't know about or are just paranoid,I recommend combofix.

Some like Malwarebytes as well,I've used it,it's ok,but I kinda seems more like an antivirus to me,at least that's how it felt when I used it,I've seen others use it,some swear by it.I personally have had very good results with combofix.Out of I'd say prolly 200 or so different pc's I've used it on,I've only had one that was so badly infected that it removed a system file that was for internet connection, was a windows 7 pc that ran no AV ever for year or 2,but literally one case ever.

So I'm not certain I'd recommend it for the windows users that have never ran antivirus ever or for a very long time,at least without doing a backup, and facing the possibility that you will have problems.Granted you will find and remove a ton of infections, but could have adverse results or things don't run anymore or are gone. The same can be said for a pc that hasn't ran AV ever and then installs one after a ton of software has already been installed, all of a sudden it finds all kinds of infections and stuff is gone or wont work anymore.Seen that a few times.

Oh also forgot to add after you've done a combofix scan if it doesn't restart(It usually doesn't unless it has to remove something at boot time, zero access rootkit, etc),you should anyway,I've freaked out when certain stuff like task manager didn't work afterward, :wow: :dunno:
    Just had to restart :dancing:

(Also just read, this doesn't work on win 8.1,I imagine they are working on it)
